Rosemarie Brown
Lawyer, Mediator and Financial Neutral
With life beginning on a dairy farm in the Waikato, Rosemarie Brown has lived and worked in town and country, and has a heart for the rural sector and understanding of city life.
Thirty-five years in the business world across a wide range of sectors and organisations and multi-disciplinary teams which gave Rosemarie Brown an in-depth understanding of business disputes. She saw too much time, energy, and emotion spent on dealing with conflict and disagreements between people. In 2010, she founded Bayside Mediation in Australia and in 2012 in NZ to help business people and shortly after, families resolve these time consuming, damaging issues constructively.
Rosemarie works hard to assist people to resolve their disputes in a holistic, positive way. She does her best to find a way forward, which fits perfectly into collaborative practice.
Although she started her career as an accountant (and remains a Chartered Accountant), Rosemarie is now a trained and experienced mediator, lawyer and collaborative practitioner as a Lawyer, Mediator and Financial Neutral. She is also a Professional member of Resolution Institute (LEADR), a Fellow (Mediator) and Panel List Mediator with AMINZ, a registered FDR provider with the Ministry of Justice. She has thousands of hours experience in family law mediation and commercial disputes in New Zealand and Australia and has been a part of the collaborative team in a number of collaborative processes in the past 8 years.
